Foundation Sponsored Programs
Mini Grants
A seed program designed to recognize new and innovative classrooms
projects created by teachers. Typical grants range from $100-$1,500.
Grants are awarded annually
Play Production
Our play typically involves about 80 fourth through sixth grade
students who work both on and behind the stage.
Catherine Reichelt Fund
This fund helps children in financial need. Money is allocated for
clothing, eyeglasses, health services, and other identified needs.
Career Awareness
Local business people meet with eight grade students to discuss
entry-level job skills, resume writing, submitting job applications
and making a positive impression when interviewing.
School Planners
Provided to students in the seventh and eighth grades. The planners
provide space to track homework and class schedules, as well as
useful school policy information.
Teacher Workshops
The Foundation sends teachers from both Dawes Ave. and Jordan Road
School to National level workshops.
Technology Endowment Grant
Money is provided annually to fund identified district technology
needs.
Performing Arts Workshop
Funds are provided to offer a performing arts workshop for students
in grades six through eight.
Stokes State Forest Field Trip
The Foundation partners with the Board of Education to send the
entire sixth grade on a three-day educational outing to Stokes State
Forest in upstate New Jersey.
Arts & Humanities Assemblies
$1500 is provided to each building principal to allow them to enrich
students experience in the arts and humanities.

Awards are given at both Mainland and Jordan Road School
